Online casino games - Craps Strategies: Odds Bet

Let's learn how to play at casino with a very nice casino online game: craps.

Knowing the Passline Bet is fundamental for a beginner in order to learn a further bet known as the Pass Line Odds Bet. The Pass Line Odds is an additional Bet to the basic Pass Line which allows you to take up to 100 times odds on your Pass Line Bet depending on the odds (i.e. your chances of winning) fixed by the house.

The Odds can only be placed after the come out roll if the point is made. For instance, if you put $10 on the Pass Line and 5 is the point, you would be allowed to make an Odds Bet of an amount equal or lower than your initial bet. The Odds Bet is placed by distributing the chips in the relevant “on” and “off” areas behind your original Pass Line Bet on the craps layout. If the point is 4 or 10 you are paid 2 to 1 true odds for your Odds Bet but you are paid even money for your Pass Line Bet.

The payout rates for Odds Bet depend on the odds of the point number being hit which is usually displayed in the casinos. Odds Bets need accurate analysis as any other craps strategies. If you consider that the house edge is in inverse proportion to the number of Odds Bets (more Odds Bets, lower house edge). Your basic Pass Line Bet has a house edge of 1.41. Pass Line Bets with Odds can even touch a house edge of 0,18 percent . As you can see sometimes in this kind of easy games you may find more strategies than in blackjack, poker or other more complicated games.
